LEODIENSIAN LADIES RUGBY UNION
- Leo's Ladies was formed at the start of the 1996
rugby season, at the Old Leodiensian Rugby Club in Leeds. It evolved
from Otley Ladies Rugby Union, and began in Division 4 North East.
- True to the adage "You can't keep a
good girl down", Leo's rose to win their division at
the end of their first season. Since that first season, Leo's
have steadily improved, and remain near the top of their
division. Leo's Ladies continues to attract many new players to
the squad, and is the only Ladies team to exist in Leeds.
Success is only part of the story.

- Leo's Ladies host a very active social side,
and social membership for non-players is encouraged. Aside from
the usual social side of any rugby club, the ladies host race
nights, clay-pigeon shoots, dinners etc. The club also go
paintballing, ten pin bowling and have an annual tour each year.
In addition, the club is keen to promote rugby for girls, and
holds "taster" days, with qualified coaching, for
under 16's.
